Following the ATEL#9507 by Wyrzykowski et al. I observed the likely microlensing event Gaia16aye with the 30cm telescope of the Foligno Observatory (IAU K56) and a Nikon 90 camera on 2016-09-22.85: the instrumental response is very similar to the Johnson V band. A dozen nearby comparison stars, ranging from 12 to 16 V magnitude, were taken from the UCAC4 catalog. The star is detected at V=14.39 +-0.06, a value near to the peak value recorded in the previous bursts. Further observations are critical to determine the nature of the event.
