We report on our GTC/OSIRIS observations from the renewed activity in the black
hole X-ray binary V404 Cyg (GCN#17929). Complementing observations reported
previously (ATELs#7655,#7659,#7669) we observed the system on June 16, 2015
(03:31-03:42 UTC) with the OSIRIS spectrograph attached to the GTC-10.4m telescope
in La Palma (Spain). We took 3x600s spectra using the R1000B (3650-7500A), R2500V
(4500-6000A) and R2500I (7330-10000A) grisms.
We observe strong and single peaked H-alpha line in emission (H-beta and H-gamma
are weaker but significant) amongst other possible emission lines we detect. H-beta
has a complex double peak structure and HeI (4876A) has a complex profile, with
absorption features overlaid.
We encourage further spectroscopic observations. We are thank the GTC team for
a fast and efficient response to our ToO trigger.
