We obtained a spectrum (range: 398-686 nm; resolution 0.3 nm) of PNV J00424253+4115139 (ATEL #7584, #7586, and #7597) on 2015 June 7.435 UT with the 2.4 m Hiltner Telescope (+OSMOS) of the MDM Observatory on Kitt Peak, Arizona. The spectrum exhibits emission lines of Hα, Hβ, Hγ, and Hδ, Fe II multiplets (37, 38, 42, 48, 49, and 74), and Na I D. The Balmer lines, Fe II (42), and Na I D show P Cygni-type line profiles. A simple two-component Gaussian de-convolution of the Hα line profile gives for the broad emission line component an equivalent width of 8.7 nm, FWHM of 2390 km/s, and a FWZI of about 6830 km/s. For the blue-shifted absorption line component we find a center displacement of -1008 km/s (with respect to the emission line center) and an equivalent width of 1.1 nm. Comparison of our spectrum with the spectra of Galactic novae (Williams, Phillips, and Hamuy 1994, ApJS, 90, 297) as well as previous M31 novae (Shafter et al. 2011, ApJ, 734, 12) shows that PNV J00424253+4115139 is a member of the Fe II spectroscopic class of classical novae.
