Spectra were obtained, on UT May 17.30 and May 18.24, of the (CBAT) PSN J13003230+2758411 using the 1.82-m Plaskett telescope (National Research Council of Canada) covering the range 365-720 nm (resolution 0.35 nm). Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows PSN J13003230+2758411 to be a peculiar type-Ia supernova approximately 1 week pre-maximum light. We find a good fit to SN 2006gz at 8 days pre-maximum light. Assuming a redshift of z=0.023 (the results of our fit agree well with the redshift of the Coma Cluster) yields an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 11,400 km/s.
