We report the classifications of PSN J15053007+0138024 (originally discovered by CRTS as SNhunt281 and independently by S. Howerton and announced on the CBAT TOCP) from a spectrum obtained with the DEIMOS spectrograph on Keck II on 2015 March 18 UT. Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we determine that PSN J15053007+0138024 is a pre-maximum SN Ia similar to SN 1991bg. Our best estimate for the phase is -5 d, but it could be younger as there are very few comparison spectra of SN 1991bg-like objects at these phases.
