MASTER OT J005051.63+521106.6 - possible new CV candidate
MASTER-Tunka auto-detection system
(Lipunov
et al., 2010, Advances in Astronomy, article id.
349171, pp. 1-7) discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 00h 50m
51.63s +52d 11m 06.6s on 2015-01-25.600 UT.
The OT unfiltered magnitude is 16.2m (limit is 18.7m). There are
3 images with OT during MASTER survey. There is no minor planet at this place.
We have reference image without OT at 2011-12-17.556 UT with
20.7m unfiltered magnitude limit.
The object has a possible UV counterpart GALEX J005051.4+521106
(NUV=19.69+/-0.13).
Nothing is present within 5" radius of the OT in any other catalog and
AAVSO VSX. There is faint blue star (~21m), that is
visible at this position at the digitized Palomar plates.
Color-combined DSS finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J005051+521106-BRIR5x5.jpg (2x zoom).
Based on the outburst amplitude (~5m), MASTER OT J005051.63+521106.6
can be new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova).
Follow up observations are required.
