We obtained an optical spectrum (range 340-890 nm) of ASASSN-14lq on UT 2014 Dec.12.48 with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum is similar to that of a type Ia supernovae at a few days after the maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the comparison tool Gelato (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it matches with SN 1995al (91T-like) at t = +7.5 days. Given a redshift of 0.026 for the host galaxy 2MASX J22571481-2058014, an expansion velocity of about 12200 km/s can be deduced from the Si II 635.5 absorption minimum.
