CSS141028-081814+044553 has been recently classified as a Type Ib SN a few weeks after maximum optical light (ATel #6657). Radio observations of this transient have been reported by Kamble (Atel #6718).

We observed CSS141028-081814+044553 with the Swift-XRT starting on November 11th, 2014. Using data collected in the time interval Nov 11th-15th 2014, we find no evidence for X-ray emission at the location of the SN. We calculate a 3 sigma upper limit of 1.5d-3 c/s in the 0.3-10 keV energy band (total exposure time of 10 ks). The Galactic neutral hydrogen column density in the direction of CSS141028-081814+044553 is 2.5d20 cm-2 (Kalberla 2005). Assuming a spectral photon index ~2, we infer an absorbed flux limit of 5.1d-14 erg/s/cm2 (0.3-10 keV), corresponding to a luminosity limit of 1.0d40 erg/s at the distance of 39 Mpc.

We thank the Swift team for scheduling these ToO observations.
