We report radio observations with the Very Large Array (VLA) of supernova of type Ib (MASTER OT J120451.50+265946.6, ATel #6634, #6639, #6640, #6641) in galaxy NGC 4080.
We observed the position of the supernova with VLA at a mid-time of 2014 Oct 31.5 UT utilizing two, ~1 GHz sidebands centered at 5 & 7 GHz. We detect a radio source with a flux density of 3.0 +/- 0.02 mJy in the lower sideband (5 GHz) at the position consistent with the supernova. At the distance of the host galaxy, 15 Mpc, this corresponds to a spectral luminosity of 8 x 10^{26} erg/s/Hz.
Followup radio observations are ongoing. Multiband and spectroscopic coverage is encouraged.
We thank the NRAO staff for carrying out this observation.
