We report an increased optical brightness of Nova M31 2014-11a (ATel #6675). Using the 50/70 cm Schmidt telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria, we obtained 3 consecutive 300s frames on Nov 10 and 5 consecutive 300s frames on Nov 11 in Cousins R filter. We performed aperture photometry after median combination of the frames from each night. The available magnitudes are:
2014 November 10.953 UT, R=17.70 +/- 0.10
2014 November 11.907 UT, R=17.03 +/- 0.06
Considering the r'-band photometry by Williams S. C. et al. (ATel #
6675) our results show that the nova has not reached its peak brightness as of 2014 Nov 11. We strongly encourage further observations.
The observations and image processing are carried out during the ongoing student practice in Astronomy of the University of Sofia.
