The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic classification of Supernova Gaia14abz in SDSS 1237661435924644064

The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82 m Copernico Telescope (+AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.2 nm).

The transient Gaia14abz was detected by the Gaia Photometric Science Alerts programme with a magnitude of 18.7 at UT 2014 Oct. 05.72 . BP and RP spectra indicated a likely SN. The candidate was recovered at RA= 13:37:00.80, DEC= +46:57:40.5 (J2000), corresponding to an offset with respect to the parent galaxy nucleus of 9".9 E 1".3 N.

Classification was done with GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). The Asiago classification spectra are posted at the website http://sngroup.oapd.inaf.it.
