An optical spectrogram (range 370-880 nm), obtained on 2014 Oct.15.56 UT with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of YNAO, shows that CSS141005:022316-070520 (discovered by Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey) is a type Ic supernova around the maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows that it matches with SN 1994I at t = +4 days. The host galaxy seems to have a redshift of 0.049 from the SNID fit.
