MASTER OT J235247.28+512650.4 - new bright CV
MASTER-Amur auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 23h 52m 47.28s +51d 26m 50.4s on 2014-04-01.80236 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 14.5m (limit 17.9m). The OT is seen in 6 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2012-08-18.75486 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.0m.
The OT at quiescence is identical to the star USNO-A2.0 1350-18792526 (23 52 47.40 +51 26 51.2 R=18.3 B=19.4) = USNO-B1.0 1414-0509927 (23 52 47.314 +51 26 50.99 pmRA=-12 pmDE=-4 B1=20.08 R1=18.27 B2=19.67 R2=18.38 I=17.61). Color-combined DSS finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J235247+512650-BRIR.jpg (10'x10' FOV). There is also an UV counterpart GALEX J235247.3+512651 (FUV=17.65+/-0.04 NUV=17.67+/-0.02).
There is nothing at this position in 1RXS, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. This area of sky in Cassiopeia is not covered by SDSS, NEAT and CRTS.
Based on the UV detection and amplitude of variability (~5m), MASTER OT J235247.28+512650.4 is a new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova in outburst). Follow up observations are encouraged. The discovery and reference images are available at: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/235247.28512650.4.png
