MASTER OT J084721.16+731313.7 - new CV

MASTER-Kislovodsk auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 08h 47m 21.16s +73d 13m 13.7s on 2014-02-07.69206 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 15.9m (limit 18.5m). The OT is seen in 6 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2013-12-31.86451 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.6m.

The OT at quiescence is identical to the blue star USNO-B1.0 1632-0074984 (08 47 20.943 +73 13 14.56 pmRA=0 pmDE=0 B1=19.84 R1=19.20 B2=19.58 R2=19.04 I=N/A). Color-combined (BRIR) finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J084721+731313-BRIR.jpg (10'x10' FOV).

There is nothing at this position in 1RXS, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. Object was at minimum light on 9 DSS plates. This area of sky in Camelopardalis is not covered by GALEX, SDSS and CRTS.

Based on the blue color and amplitude of variability (~4m), MASTER OT J084721.16+731313.7 is a new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova in outburst). Follow up observations are encouraged. The discovery and reference images are available at: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/084721.16731313.7.png

MASTER OT J120438.53+064532.5 - new large amplitude CV

MASTER-Kislovodsk auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 12h 04m 38.53s +06d 45m 32.5s on 2014-02-07.97120 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 16.6m (limit 19.1m). The OT is seen in 7 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2011-03-28.88936 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 20.1m.

There is nothing at this position in any catalogs and AAVSO VSX. The nearest object in SDSS is 6" north: SDSS J120438.50+064538.6 (Type=STAR, g=23.01 r=21.43 i=20.31 z=19.59). It does not move significantly between DSS infrared plates and SDSS. No previous outbursts were detected by NEAT and CRTS.

Based on the amplitude of variability (more than 6m), MASTER OT J120438.53+064532.5 is most likely a dwarf nova of WZ Sge (UGWZ) type in superoutburst. Follow up observations are required. The discovery and reference images are available at: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/120438.53064532.5.jpg
