We report on the recent observation that revealed a NIR brightening of the prototype blazar, BL LAC itself. On October 30th,2013 (JD 2456595.735567), its flux in the H band corresponded to the magnitude H = 10.124 +/- 0.03. It is brightest since the time we started monitoring his object in the NIR (JD2454358.657246). Our observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multi-wavelength coverage.
