We report optical spectroscopy and photometry of the recent M31 nova candidate M31N 2013-09d = TCP J00415307+4109540 (see ATel #5414). The spectrum was taken on 2013 Oct. 4.822 UT using the Russian BTA telescope equipped with the SCORPIO spectral camera. The spectral range was 3800-7000 A with a spectral resolution of 13 A. The spectrum shows a blue continuum with a very strong H-alpha emission line having an equivalent width of 330 ±10 A. The line width is characterized by a FWHM = 1050 ±20 km/s taking into account the spectral resolution. The H-beta line has an equivalent width of 60 ±20 A and a FWHM = 1020 ±20 km/s. In addition to Balmer emissions, many Fe II lines are seen. All of these features in the spectrum are consistent with a Fe II class nova.
Following R-band photometry was obtained with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov:
