We present optical broadband photometry (Bessel BVRI) in response of recent reports (ATel #4424, #4528, #4531) showing increased brightening of blazar PKS 0507+179. The images are obtained with the 50/70 cm Schmidt telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria. The available magnitudes are:
2012 November 04.901 UT, B = 16.58 +/-0.03
2012 November 04.909 UT, V = 15.83 +/-0.02
2012 November 04.883 UT, R = 15.42 +/-0.03
2012 November 04.891 UT, I = 14.36 +/-0.03
The magnitudes given are obtained from a photometric solution using BVR-band data from the UCAC4 Catalogue (Zacharias et al. 2012) and I-band data from the TASS Mark IV patches photometric catalog (Droege et al. 2007).
The observations and image processing are carried out during the ongoing student practice in Astronomy of the University of Sofia.
