The Type Ic Supernova 2011hp (CBET #2899) in the galaxy NGC 4219 has been observed with the ATCA + CABB 2 GHz backend system on 2011 Nov 8.8 at frequencies of 5.5 and 9.0 GHz. No radio emission was detected at the supernova location, with 3-sigma upper limits of 0.24 mJy at 9.0 GHz, and 0.20 mJy at 5.5 GHz. Adopting a host galaxy distance of 23.7 Mpc from NED, this implies an upper limit on the luminosity at 5.5 GHz of 1.3E26 erg/s/Hz. We would like to extend our thanks to the ATCA staff for enabling these observations. The Australia Telescope Compact Array is part of the Australia Telescope which is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia for operation as a National Facility managed by CSIRO.
