MAXI/GSC has detected an enhanced X-ray emission from a position consistent with Swift J1922.7-1716. The observed X-ray flux averaged over 8 days from 2011-08-01 to 2011-08-08 (UT) was 10.2 +/- 2.7 mCrab in the 2-20 keV band. The best-fit source position is (R.A., Dec)=(290.75, -17.35)=(19 23 00.00,-17 21 00.0) (J2000), which includes a systematic uncertainty of 0.2 degree (90% containment radius).
