Swift observed the new Type IIP PSN J13303600+4706330 (PTF11eon; ATEL #3398) on 2011 Jun 3rd at 12:06:18 UT for 2.4 ksec. An X-ray source is clearly detected at coordinates:
RA(hh mm ss.s) = 13h30m05.22s
Dec(dd mm ss.s) = +47:10:12.41
(J2000) with an error radius of 4.80 (arc sec, 90% c.l.).
This position is consistent with the optical position (ATEL #3398).
The estimated count rate is ~0.013 c/s. Adopting a power-law spectral
model with photon index of Gamma=2 the observed count rate translates into
a 0.3-10 keV flux of ~5e-13 erg/sec/cm2 after correcting for the
Galactic column density in the direction of the event which is N_H=1.81
10^20 cm-2 (Karberla 2005).
We thank the Swift team for approving this ToO request.
