MAXI/GSC detected X-ray brightening of a LMXB, 4U1608-52.
The source flux began to increase steeply on 2011 March 24.0 (MJD=55644.0),
and reached about 0.5 Crab (4-10 keV) on 2011 March 25 (MJD 55645).
It indicates that the source has entered a new active state.
Swift/BAT also detected the beginning of this outburst on March 23
(http://swift.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/swift/results/transients/H1608-522/).
The latest flux on March 26.0, ~ 0.8 Crab (4-10 keV), is comparable to
the maximum flux in the last outburst observed in 2010 March (ATEL #2462).
The latest light curve and image will be placed at the following URL: http://maxi.riken.jp/top/index.php?cid=1&jname=J1612-524
