We report the NIR brightening of the High energy peaked BL Lac object SHBL J001355.9-185406, it is related with the radio source NVSS J001356-185406. It is a low redshift blazar z=0.094846 (RA=00:13:56.05, DEC=-18:54:06.5, J2000).On November 10th,2010 (JD 2455510.67830), we determined the NIR flux from this object to correspond to H = 13.136 +/-0.05, than is 0.7mag brighter than previously published NIR photometry by the 2mass survey. That is a 70% increase in flux. Our observations were prompted by the recent reports of detections of the source in High Energy Gamma Rays by the HESS collaboration (ATel #3007) and the FERMI/LAT experiment (ATel#3014). In order to determine the characteristics of the present state of the source, We shall continue monitoring this source in the NIR. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage of this interesting object.
