We report the discovery of a SN candidate, ROTSE3 J033722.2-330240 (mag about 17.4) in unfiltered images taken on 2010 Sep. 20.99 UT with the 0.45-m ROTSE-IIIc telescope at the H.E.S.S. site in Namibia. The transient was observed again at mag ~17.4 on 201O Sep. 21.99, mag ~17.3 on 2010 Oct. 2.06, mag ~17.6 on 2010 Oct. 11.02 and mag ~17.7 on 2010 Oct. 13.02. The new object is located at R.A. = 03h37m22s.20, Decl. = -33o02'39".7 (equinox 2000.0; uncertainty about 1"), which is 5".1 west and 4".5 south of the center of the host galaxy 2MASX J03372260-3302350; No source was detected at this location in the ROTSE-IIIc image (limit ~19.5 mag) before Sep. 09th UT. Note that the host galaxy is also a host for another Type Ia supernova SN 1990Y with redshift z=0.036 (Della Valle et al. IAU Circ. 5083). A finding chart for the object can be found at the following website URL: http://www.rotse.net/rsvp/j033722.2-330240/j033722.2-330240.jpg.
