We report on a NIR flux increase of the source PKS1222+216. also known as 4C21.35 on April 20,2010 JD2455306.86. On this date the source was found to have a flux corresponding to H = 12.707 +/- 0.05. This flux is a factor of 2.3 times the flux observed on March 20,2010. The source was observed again on May 4,2010 (JD24555320.75) when the flux had decreased to a level corresponding to a magnitude H = 13.301 +/- 0.05. We encourage further multiwavelength observations. The source has been also reported to have recent flaring activity in gamma rays, see ATELs #2584 and #2617.
