We report that inspection of a low signal-to-noise ratio CCD spectrum
(range 350-1000 nm) of CSS100409:154258+021653, obtained on Apr. 15 UT
with the 3-m Shane reflector (+Kast) at Lick Observatory, shows that
CSS100409:154258+021653 (ATEL #2555) is a normal type-Ia supernova.
Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the
"SuperNova IDentification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J.,
666, 1024) indicates that it is within a few days of maximum brightness
and has a redshift of 0.039.
