2S 1711-339: In ATEL #233 the absorbed X-ray flux of 2S 1711-339 was incorrectly given as 2e-15 ergs cm-2 s-1 (0.3-7.0 keV). The correct value obtained by using a blackbody model with kT = 0.24 +/- 0.03 keV or a neutron-star hydrogen-atmosphere model with kT = 0.07 +/- 0.03 keV is 1.0e-14 ergs cm-2 s-1 (0.5-10.0 keV). This flux is a factor of 10 below the limit on the quiescent absorbed flux obtained by Wilson et al. 2003, ApJ,596,1220. We thank R. Wijnands and J. Miller for alerting us to our error.

A1744-36: In ATEL #205 we reported the X-ray position for a bright source (165 counts) which was outside the 40 arcsec error circle of the Ariel V position for A1744-36 (Bradt & McClintock 1983, ARA&A,21,13). From a further analysis of the Chandra ACIS-S observation we have discovered two very faint X-ray sources at R.A.= 17:48:14.47, DEC.= -36:08:13.6 (J2000; 7 counts) and R.A. = 17:48:13.13, DEC. = -36:07:58.17 (J2000; 13 counts) which are well within the Ariel V error circle. Adopting a positional uncertainty of 1 arcsec for these faint sources, the position of the latter X-ray source is consistent with the precise position of the radio source reported in ATEL #210.
