We observed the field of the new X-ray transient MAXI J1834-021 (ATel #15929) with the Arcminute Microkelvin Imager Large Array (AMI-LA) between UT 04:54:55.6 and UT 09:52:22.9 on March 8th 2023 (MJD 60011). Observations were conducted at a central frequency of 15.5 GHz across a total bandwidth of 5 GHz and achieved a synthesized beam of 89 by 23 arcseconds with a position angle of 7 degrees.

We do not detect significant 15.5 GHz radio emission at the location of MAXI J1834-021 (ATel #15932) to a 3-sigma upper limit of 200 uJy/beam.

We thank the staff at the Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory for operating the AMI-LA.
