Following report of the rapid decay of the ongoing outburst from the transient MAXI J1957+032 (ATel #15457), a newly discovered accreting millisecond X-ray pulsar (ATel #15440, #15444), Swift/XRT observation in Photon Counting (PC) mode was performed for a total duration of ~1.4 ks on 23 June, 2022 from 01:49:57 UT to 03:25:35 UT. We detect no significant X-ray source during this XRT observation at the location RA/Dec(J2000) = 19h 56m 33s, +3d 26m 32s (ATel #7506), suggesting that the transient may have declined rapidly (ATel #15457).
We thank the Swift team for approving and scheduling our requested ToO observations.
