Continued search by CFHT-COVET (ATEL#1526) reveals another optical transient on UT 2008 May 13 :

Name | RA(J2000) | Dec(J2000) | Mag (r') |

COVET-080513B | 12h26m31.73s | 08d32m31.6s | 22.4 |
This transient is also detected on May 10 at r' = 22.0. There is no potential host galaxy or star brighter than r' > 23.5 based on CFHT imaging in March 5 and March 10. Imaging with the Wide Field Infrared Camera on the Palomar Hale Telescope on May 16 indicates that there is no infrared counterpart brighter than Ks > 20. There is no source consistent with this position in the SIMBAD or SDSS catalogues. Follow-up spectroscopy is encouraged.
