New optical outburst of the blazar S4 0954+65

The blazar S4 0954+65 is reaching again a high state in the optical. Using optical observations from the 60cm telescope of Belogradchik Observatory, Bulgaria, we measured R-band magnitude of about 13.5 (2022-04-11, UT: 23:00), which is the highest optical state since 2015, according to the best of our knowledge. This object is also known for its large amplitude intra-night variability, in particular for the same night we measured about 0.4 mag increase for 5 hours.
All data are preliminary. Further observations are encouraged.
