LJT Spectroscopic classification of AT 2021afkk as a young type II supernova with flash-ionized signatures

We obtained an optical spectrum (range 350-870 nm) of AT 2021afkk with the Li-Jiang 2.4 m telescope (LJT+YFOSC) at the Li-Jiang Observatory Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum characterized by a blue continuum and prominent narrow emission lines (so-called flash-ionized signatures) matches the young type II supernova with CSM interaction. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J., 666, 1024) shows that it matches SN 1998S at t = -13 days.
