The Ooty Radio telescope (ORT) observes PSR J0835-4510 at 325 MHz frequency with 16 MHz bandwidth. Recently, a glitch was reported in this pulsar by Sosa-Fiscella et al. (ATel #14806), Dunn et al. (ATel #14807) and Olney et al. (ATel # 14808). We confirm the detection of the glitch in this pulsar using the ORT. Our preliminary analysis show that the glitch epoch is 59417.618 and the fractional glitch magnitude, DeltaF0/F0 is (1.238 +/- 0.07)E-6. Our estimate for spin-up in the glitch are close to ones that have been reported previously.
We are continuing to monitor this pulsar to get better estimates of these parameters. We urge
other monitoring programs to continue the same so that we can track its recovery further.
A plot of the timing residuals of the pulsar is given in the following link.
