We report the classification of the optical transients from spectroscopic observations with the Kast spectrograph on the Shane telescope, made on 2020 Dec 22 UT. The targets were supplied by YSE, and ZTF (as reported by ALeRCE). The classifications were performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
PS20mev | AT2020acxb | 03:30:52.62 | -02:00:51.22 | 0.143 | Ia | -4 | (1)
ZTF20acxdlcd | AT2020aczd | 04:33:07.72 | -07:31:38.02 | 0.034 | II | | (2)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) We measure a Si II 6355 velocity of -9,900 km/s.
(2) The spectrum is similar to those of SNe II near peak light. We measure an H-alpha velocity of -10,800 km/s.
