Discovery of 10 ASAS-SN Supernova Candidates, Including 4 in the TESS Field of View

During the ongoing All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN, Shappee et al. 2014), using data from the quadruple 14-cm telescopes "Brutus" in Hawaii, "Leavitt" in Texas, and "Payne-Gaposchkin" in South Africa, we discovered several new transient sources. Properties of the supernovae, as well as associated finding charts showing the archival imaging (left) and a confirmation image (right) are included below:

Follow-up observations are encouraged, particularly of the 4 transients that lie within the TESS field.

ASAS-SN is currently operating at limited capacity, as some observing sites have been closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While we are participating in the TNS system to minimize potential confusion, ASAS-SN will continue using ASASSN-20xx transient names as our primary nomenclature, and we encourage others to do the same. We prefer merging the names as ASASSN-20xx (AT 2020xyz) to avoid anonymizing the origin of the transient.
