The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of ZTF20aatzhhl (AT 2020fqv)
The target was supplied by ZTF, discovered by ALeRCE using the public ZTF stream.
The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82m Copernico Telescope (+ AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.4 nm).
Survey name | IAU name | Host galaxy | Disc. Date (UT) | Obs. Date (UT) | redshift | type | phase | notes
ZTF20aatzhhl | AT 2020fqv| NGC4568 | 2020-03-31 08:06:55 | 2020-04-01 21:19:43 | 0.007522 | II | 2-3days | 1
(1) The spectrum is consistent with that of a young Type II SN, after correcting for a host galaxy reddening E(B-V) ~ 0.6 mag, as derived from the EW of the NaI D. The most prominent feature is He II 468.6 nm, but Ca II H&K is also clearly detected is absorption. Broad, shallow Halpha and Hbeta are also barely detected.
The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383)
