The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of SN 2019zhs in IC 4552. The target has been supplied by P. Campaner and F. Briganti (on the behalf of the ISSP team). The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82m Copernico Telescope (equipped with AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.4 nm).
IAU name | Host galaxy | Disc. Date (UT) | Obs. Date (UT)| redshift | type | phase | notes
SN 2019zhs | IC 4552 | 2019-12-30.19 | 2019-12-31.23 | 0.0228 | Ia-pec | 1 week before max | 1
(1) The spectrum resembles those of SN Ia 1991T-like SNe about 1 week before the maximum light, although
it shares also similarity with the peculiar SN 2006gz (Hicken et al. 2007, ApJ, 669, L17).
The redshift for the host galaxy is from Courtois & Tully, 2015, MNRAS, 447, 1531.
The expansion velocity deduced from the Si II 635.5 nm absorption is about 12800 km/s.
The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383)
and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) tools.
