We report spectroscopic observation of the optical transient ZTF19acxrihd/AT2019wkp in M31. It was flagged by a filter on the ANTARES alert-broker (https://antares.noao.edu/) customized to find promising stellar explosive events from the ZTF public alert stream.
Name | Alternative name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | First detection: MJD, mag

We obtained Gemini GMOS spectrum (3x900sec exposures) of this nova on Dec. 18th 2019 UT through the ToO program GN-2019B-Q-221 (PI: Lee, C.-H.). The spectrum clearly shows H-alpha, H-beta, and O I emission lines, confirming the nova nature of this source. There are also faint traces of Fe II lines, suggesting this is a Fe II type nova. Its light curve can be accessed at https://antares.noao.edu/alerts/locus/6854164 .
We thank the staff of Gemini observatory, in particular, Dr. Kristin Chiboucas, for supporting the observations.
