Motivated by the FAST report of FRB121102 now in an active state producing multiple radio outbursts (ATel #13064), we carried out one hour H-band photometry at the United Kingdom Infra-Red Telescope (UKIRT). Observations started at 13:15:08 UT on 2019-09-02 and ended at 14:37:46 on 2019-09-02.
No source was detected at the FRB121102 position in the stacked image, i.e., R.A.(J2000) = 05:31:58.6980, Dec.(J2000) = +33:08:52.671 (Bassa et al., 2017, ApJL), down to a limiting magnitude of m(H) ~ 21.7 mag.
We acknowledge excellent support from the UKIRT observing staff, especially Michael Pohlen, Tom Kerr, and Watson Varricatt.
