The Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) Unbiased Transient Survey 2 (NUTS2; ATel #12661) reports the spectroscopic
classification of AT2019fxy in the host galaxy VIII Zw 066.
The candidate was discovered by the ATLAS survey, see Tonry et al. (2018, PASP, 130, 064505).
The observation was performed with the 2.56 m Nordic Optical Telescope
equipped with ALFOSC (range 350-950 nm; resolution 1.8 nm FWHM).

(1) The low signal-to-noise spectrum has a relatively blue continuum with intermediate-width Halpha and Hbeta lines in emission. An expansion velocity of ~3000 km/s is deduced from the FWHM of Halpha. These properties are consistent with those of several types of Intermediate Luminosity Optical Transients (ILOTs). The redshift is taken from Courtois & Tully (2015, MNRAS,447,1531C) via NED.
