We obtained an optical spectrum (range 390-860 nm) of SN 2018lkg (= MASTER OT J070634.76+635056.9), discovered by MASTER (see ATEL 12345), on 2019-01-01.6528 UT with the Xinglong 2.16-m telescope (+BFOSC) of National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC). The spectrum is consistent with that of a type IIn supernova, showing prominent broad hydrogen and helium emission lines. The line profile of Ha seems to be composed of multiple components. Cross correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the spectral comparison tool "Gelato" (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it matched SN 2010jl at a few weeks after explosion. A prominent Na ID absorption is visible in the spectrum, with an equivalent width of about 3.8 Angstrom, suggesting that the supernova suffered a significant reddening within the host galaxy.
