AT2018cow: MAXI GSC data search
We investigated MAXI/GSC all-sky survey data of AT2013cow, discovered
on 2016-06-15 (MJD 58284) (ATEL#11727). Since 2016-05-01 to
2016-06-14T05 (MJD 58283.21), the source sky position of (RA,
Dec)=(244.00090, 22.26800) had been scanned with good GSC units in the
normal-operation mode. After that time, it has been covered by the
GSC_#3 unit, which has a problem in the veto function for the
anti-coincidence background cut. We have not found any significant
emission on the source location. Because the backgrounds of the
GSC_#3 are higher by an order of magnitude than those of the normal
GSCs, the sensitivity got worse by a factor of 4-5. The 3-simga upper
limit on the 2-20 keV source flux for each scan transit from
2016-06-14 (MJD 58283) to 2016-06-16 (MJD 58286) is listed in the
below.
