We report on the NIR brightening of the flat spectrum QSO PKS2247-131 also known as PMNJ2249-1251 and TXS2247-131 . On September 1st,2017 MJD(2457997.887), we found the source with NIR fluxes H = 15.001 +/- 0.04. While, on MJD 2457676.7 the flux in the H band corresponded to H = 16.23 +/- 0.08. Hence, the source has increased its flux by a factor of 3 in this lapse. The source is brightest since the time the 2mass survey was carried out when the H band flux was > 17.5. Our observations are carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage.
