On June 28, 2017, we obtained spectra of three supernova candidates with the Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS - Dopita et al., 2007, ApSS, 310, 255) on board 2.3-m ANU telescope at Siding Spring Observatory. We classify all of them as Type Ia Supernova (SN Ia) by cross-correlating with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). Details of our identifications are reported as below:
IAU Name | Survey Name | Discovery Date (UT) | Redshift | Type | Phase | Notes
SN 2017ezd | BOSS | 2017-06-17.97 | 0.0181 | Ia | +27d | (1)
SN 2017faw | ASASSN-17in | 2017-06-30.26 | 0.030 | Ia | +18d | (2)
SN 2017frr | ASASSN-17ka | 2017-07-27.23 | 0.027 | Ia | +1d | (3)
(1) The redshift is from the host galaxy. An ejecta velocity of about 9200km/s can be inferred from absorption minimum of Si II 635.5nm.
(2),(3) The redshifts are derived from the SNID fit, and the corresponding Si II velocities are 10800 km/s and 11100 km/s, respectively.
