We obtained a spectrum of ASASSN-17iq/AT 2017fbp (ATel #10555) on 2017 July 15.6 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Las Cumbres Observatory 2-meter telescope on Haleakala, Hawai'i. Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find a good fit to the 99aa-like Type Ia SN 1999ac (Garavini et al. 2005, AJ, 130, 2278) at maximum light at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.023; SDSS DR13, via NED). The spectrum is available on the Transient Name Server.
