AstroSat UVIT FUV detection of SN 2017eaw

The young type II supernova SN 2017eaw in NGC 6946 (ATEL #10372, #10374) was observed with AstroSat Ultra Violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) in the FUV channel on 2017-05-27.76 UT for a total integration time of ~1100 sec. We detect the supernova in the FUV images with a magnitude of 17.35+/-0.03.
