During recent INTEGRAL observations of the Musca region (revolutions 1823) performed between 2017-06-02 03:35:34 UTC
and 2017-06-02 21:43:31 UTC (total observation time of ~61 ks) a strong activity from the Be X-ray binary GRO J1008-57
has been detected, as predicted in the ATel #10418 and reported in brightening by MAXI (see http://maxi.riken.jp/alert/novae/7905475417/7905475417.htm ).
The source has reached the following intensities:
148.0±1.5 mCrab, for a net exposure time of 35 ks (18-40 keV energy range)
74.0±2.5 mCrab, for a net exposure time of 18 ks (40-100 keV energy range)
GRO J1008-57 was within the field of view of JEM-X instruments for a net exposure time of 11.5 ks.
It has been detected at a flux level of 99±2 mCrab and 153±6 mCrab in the 3-10 keV and 10-20 keV energy range, respectively.
The source field will be observed again during the next days.
We thank the staff at the ISDC for their prompt alert.
