We obtained a spectrum of DLT17ah/AT 2017ckg (ATel #10214) on 2017 March 27.4 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Las Cumbres Observatory 2-meter telescope on Haleakala, Hawai'i. Unresolved narrow H-alpha emission at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.017; Jones et al. 2009, "The 6dF Galaxy Survey Data Release 3," via NED) confirms the transient's association with LCSB S1878P, and a blue continuum and weak broad features consistent with H-alpha and He 587.6 nm suggest the transient is a young Type II supernova. The spectrum is available on the Transient Name Server.
