INTEGRAL observation of SWIFT J1626.6-5156

During an INTEGRAL Galactic Plane Scan (GPS) the transient X-ray pulsar SWIFT J1626.6-5156 was observed by IBIS in 4 pointing on 2006-01-21 lasting from 03:05:07 to 05:42:11 (UTC) and by JEM-X in one pointing on 2006-01-21 04:24:54 for 2208 seconds.

In the 20-40 keV mosaic image of IBIS (~8620 s) the source was detected at a significance level of 12 sigma. The maximum flux value corresponds to 29 mCrab. The light curves for single pointing and for 10 seconds time bin do not show any flux variation.

JEM-X also revealed the source with a flux of 59 and 51 mCrab respectively in the 4-10 keV and 10-20 keV bands. No flares or peculiar events have been detected in the 1 second-light curve.

The broad band average spectrum (5870 s for IBIS and 2154 s for JEM-X) extends up to 60 keV and is consistent with a cut-off power law with photon index 0.6+/-0.3 and cut-off at energy 6.7+/-1.2 keV. The fit result is consistent with the RXTE observation of this source performed on 2005 Dec 20 and reported in ATel #679. The model dependent flux in the 4-40 keV band is 1.6E-09 ergs cm^-2 s^-1.
