We report the discovery of an OT source and possible supernova at (RA, Dec) = 11:54:42.29, +44:01:18.1 (equinox 2000.0; uncertainty about 1") at about mag 17.5 in unfiltered images taken on Jan. 25.25 UT with the 0.45-m ROTSE-IIIb telescope at McDonald Observatory, Texas. The OT was observed again at similar brightness on Jan. 26.26 and at mag about 17 on Jan 29.25. The OT appears to be on the apparent host galaxy, SDSS J115442.19+440117.7; a finding chart is linked below.
Follow up observations are encouraged.
