MASTER OT J043915.60+424232.3 - new CV
MASTER-Tunka auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 04h 39m 15.60s +42d 42m 32.3s on 2014-01-21.65161 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 15.7m (limit 18.1m). The OT is seen in 2 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2011-02-12.47096 UT with magnitude limit in R filter 17.6m.
The OT at quiescence is identical to the blue star USNO-B1.0 1327-0126530 (04 39 15.507 +42 42 32.65 B1=20.78 R1=N/A B2=21.13 R2=19.49 I=N/A). Color-combined (BRIR) finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J043915+424232-BRIR5x5.jpg (2x zoom).
There is nothing at this position in 1RXS, GALEX, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. Object was at minimum light on 12 DSS plates. This area of sky in Perseus is not covered by CRTS, NEAT and SDSS.
Based on the blue color and outburst amplitude (~5m), MASTER OT J043915.60+424232.3 is a cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova in outburst). Follow up observations are required. The discovery and reference images are available at: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/043915.60424232.3.png
